United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) articles supported by our learning powers:

Our Learning Powers are a series of 7 characters developed by children and staff which we now use throughout the school to help promote a growth mindset attitude towards learning.

Each character represents an aspect of learning which, it they concentrate on it, will help the children to make progress. For example, 'STAY CURIOUS'. This is explained in more detail as follows:

  • Ask questions
  • Notice things
  • Look for problems and connections
  • Problem solve
  • Think of possible reasons
  • Research
  • Ask 'What if?'

Each character is also linked to a liturgical reference which tries to explain the sentiment underpinning each aspect of learning to improve understanding.
