QUAD KIDS 2019

The Year 6 children headed down to Sport City for the annual Manchester PE Association Athletics competition.  

Each athlete competed in the standing long jump, howler throw, 600m & 75m sprint.  

We finished the event with a 400m relay race, in which the girls finished 2nd & the boys finished 4th in their heats.

A very well done to all athletes!  St Mary’s finished 4th overall, out of 16 schools, just missing out on the bronze medals.

A special well done to Edwina, who finished joint 3rd in the individual events and who earned a bronze medal!  Well done!

The Year 5 & 6 Athletics team went down to Sport City on Thursday to compete in the Quad Kids Athletics Competition. Each child competed in the Long Jump, Howler, 75m and 400m sprints. It was a very hot afternoon and the children showed great resilience and determination in each event.​

The St Mary's Athletics Team went to Sport City yesterday, to compete in the Quad Kids competition.

The weather was very hot and the children showed great resilience and determination to compete in each event.

The children did very well and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, well done!
