Hello my name is Miss Bannister. Here is a little information about me. I am a Year 1 class teacher and the Phonics and Early Readers co-ordinator at St Mary's. I love gardening and my favourite thing to do is be in the garden listening to music or an audio book while looking after my plants! I love planting a seed and watching and waiting for them to germinate and become a beautiful plant or flower. My favourite flower is Tulips, I love how simple and beautiful they are, I do also love Sweetpea, as I love the smell they give my garden in Spring and Summer. I enjoy spending time with my family, but because they all live in Ireland I have to wait to holidays to spend time with them, but this makes me work even harder during term time so my holidays are family time. My favourite subjects at school are Literacy and Phonics, but I also enjoy teaching Art. My favourite colour is green and my favourite animal is an elephant. Thank you for reading about me.

My favourite Right is Article 24, having access to health, water, food and a safe environment. Children have the right to the best health care possible, clean water to drink, healthy food and a clean and safe environment to live in. All adults and children should have information about how to stay safe and healthy. I like this article because these things are so important for ensuring children grow up healthy. I feel St Mary's is a safe place to be and something I like to make sure all children in my classroom feel when they are here in 1B.
