I teach in LKS2 and I am the PSHE and Rights Respecting Schools Co-Ordinator for St. Mary’s. I love a dress up day! World Book Day and Christmas jumpers are my favourite times for fancy dress! I am a big fan of reading. I like to read all kinds of books, especially ones based on fairy tales or adventure stories. I love anything Disney, you will see a lot of our boards in my classroom have Disney friends on them, such as Simba from the Lion King and Dory and Marlin from Finding Nemo. My favourite animals are elephants and pandas! I also love learning languages and have studied French at university (and even lived in France!) I love to travel and discover new places to have adventures.

My favourite article of the CRC is Article 2: No discrimination. This means All children have all their rights, no matter who they are, where they live, what language they speak, what their religion is, what they think, what they look like, if they are a boy or girl, if they have a disability, if they are rich or poor, and no matter who their parents or families are or what their parents or families believe or do. No child should be treated unfairly for any reason.

This is my favourite article because this supports children to grow and develop in society to make sure that no one is ever treated unfairly as a result of a protected characteristic.
