Sports Premium Funding
The government is continuing to provide funding to improve the provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.
St Mary’s will receive £18,780 in the academic year 2023/24.
Schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they will have the freedom to choose how they do this.

Swimming data 2022/2023
98% of our Year 6 children can swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25m.
4% of our Year 6 children can use a range of strokes effectively.
82% of our Year 6 children can perform safe, self-rescue in different water-based situations.
